Updating the Activated License
PSPDFKit Server has been deprecated and replaced by PSPDFKit Document Engine. All PSPDFKit Server and PSPDFKit for Web Server-Backed licenses will work as before and be supported until 15 May 2024 (we will contact you about license migration). To start using Document Engine, refer to the migration guide. With Document Engine, you’ll have access to robust new capabilities (read the blog for more information).
When your license is renewed or new features are added to it, any PSPDFKit Server installation using that license needs to be updated. There are two ways to do this:
Update the license through the dashboard.
Restart any of your Server nodes.
In general, the first option is preferable, as it doesn’t require any downtime. However, you must have the Server dashboard enabled.
To update the license via the dashboard, open the dashboard in the browser, and go to License in the sidebar. Click the Check for License Update button:
If there’s any update to the license available, the Apply Now button will show up:
When you click that button, the license will be updated for all Server nodes in the installation.
