Supported Annotation Types

PSPDFKit for Web supports all common annotation types:

• Link

• Highlight, Underline, Strikeout, Squiggle

• Text

• Callout

• Ink

• Ellipse, Rectangle, Line, Polyline, Polygon

• Note

• Widget (requires the Form Filling component)

• Image

• Stamp

• Redaction (requires the Redaction component)

• Media

These are standard annotations (as defined in the PDF Reference) that can be read and written by many apps, such as Adobe Acrobat and Apple Preview.

Signature Annotations

Ink and image annotations may be used as signatures. Refer to Signatures to learn more. Using the signature tool requires the Electronic Signatures component.
